Costa Tosses Shutout Against Penzance Tuesday, May 27th, 2014 Pablo Costa of Palm Beach easily handled the Penzance Pirates, stopping them on 3 hits and chucking a complete-game 12-0 shutout. "He really did a job on us," said the Penzance manager. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and pretty much confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us." Costa said, "Everything was working for me. Throwing my breaking stuff over the plate was big." He finished the game with 12 strikeouts and 1 walk in a solid outing. So far this year Costa has a 6-1 record with a 1.62 ERA. |
