Sabercats SP Couch Out Wednesday, August 21st, 2013 Watching Adam Couch getting helped off the field today at The Aerie, fans of the Huntsville Sabercats feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the starting pitcher will miss 11 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Couch suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Eagles. To date this season Couch sports a 2-6 mark with a 3.84 ERA in 13 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .240 batting average and has 88 strikeouts in 89 innings. |
