Jedi Knights Roberts Suspended 3 Games Tuesday, August 6th, 2013 It got ugly on the field today in the Jedi Knights and Saints game, when Ricky Roberts was ejected for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire. Before he left the dugout area, Roberts threw a few bats and a garbage can on the field toward home plate. League officials thought the New Orleans left fielder went too far and gave him a 3-game suspension. "Sometimes your emotions get the better of you and you just sort of lose control," Roberts told reporters, "but that doesn't mean I was wrong, just out of control." So far this season Roberts has hit .242 with 1 home run, 23 RBIs and and scored 25 times. |
