Monday, August 20th, 2012
So far in his young career, Jeff Etheridge has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Ford Frick League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 22-year-old Spokane Bulldogs first baseman hit at a torrid .556 clip as he collected 15 hits in 27 at-bats, no home runs, 10 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
For the season Etheridge has produced 133 hits in 485 at-bats for a .274 average with 12 home runs and gotten on base at a .336 clip.
