5-Hit Game for Lyons Friday, August 17th, 2018 History in the making. That's what the fans at The Rat Hole got to see today, when Wichita outplayed the Rats 9-3. Randall Lyons of the Wolverines came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Rock River. In the postgame press conference the Rock River skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink." Randall Lyons singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th. In the current season, Lyons has put up a .294 batting average with 32 hits, no home runs, 10 RBI and scored 18 runs. |
