Players Suspended in Hellcats-Longhorns Donnybrook
Friday, July 27th, 2018
The fans at Hellcats Park saw it all yesterday in the Hellcats-Longhorns game -- pushes, shoves, scuffles, a few tackles, a few swings, a few feeble punches -- and a baseball game, too. When the ruckus was over, only two players were sent to the showers by the umpire crew. Jacksonville's Jerry Gibbs and Lubbock's Justin Barrett were ejected from the game.

Today the two players were suspended 2 games by the league commissioner.

Gibbs is presently hitting at a .235 pace with 16 home runs and 70 RBIs. He has played in 104 games and scored 56 times.
