Seika Tsuchiya Out for 6 Months Thursday, July 12th, 2018 Watching Seika Tsuchiya getting helped off the field today at The Rat Hole, fans of the Spokane Bulldogs feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the starting pitcher will miss 6 months with a torn labrum. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Tsuchiya suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Rats. In 19 starts this season, Tsuchiya has recorded 6 wins and absorbed 6 losses. He has pitched 106.1 innings, allowed 109 hits, struck out 89 and has a 4.82 ERA. |
