Storm Troopers Lose Simão Estima Sunday, July 8th, 2018 Simão Estima at first refused to leave today's Spokane-San Antonio game after he suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty San Antonio closer said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Estima out of action for 4-5 months. To date, Estima has registered a 1-5 won-lost mark, has 25 relief appearances and rung up 10 saves. He has a 8.31 ERA and has allowed 55 hits over his 39 innings of work, struck out 25 batters and walked 37. |
