Clay Sharp in Shutout Sunday, July 8th, 2018 Carl Clay of the Yorba Linda Mustangs really strutted his stuff on the mound today with a 7-0 victory. He was almost untouchable, bewildering the Ottawa Outlaws with a 1-hit shutout in which he struck out 8 and gave up no walks. This year Clay has fashioned a 14-2 mark, 3.06 ERA and pitched 123.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .232 against him and he has logged 87 strikeouts. |
