Phoenix Loses Carlos Calderón
Tuesday, June 26th, 2018
Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Sandy Springs Spartans, Lights reliever Carlos Calderón was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 7 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Phoenix skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow.
So far this season Calderón has picked up 1 save in 28 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 2-2 won-lost mark with a 5.07 ERA and fanned 36 batters in 49.2 innings.
