Kobayashi Guns Down Hellcats Sunday, June 24th, 2018 In an excellent mound performance, Yataro Kobayashi of the Asheville Tourists whitewashed the Jacksonville Hellcats 13-0 on a 4-hitter. He said after the game, "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches." The Jacksonville manager said, "We just didn't swing the bats well today. Kobayashi did a good job keeping us guessing." In all, the Asheville hurler rang up 3 strikeouts and 3 walks in the shutout win. Up to now Kobayashi has compiled an ERA of 5.85 with a 2-7 mark over 16 starts. He has 68 strikeouts in 80 innings and has held opponents to a .281 batting average. |
