League Suspends Stafford and Kichida for Fisticuffs Sunday, June 3rd, 2018 One player challenged the other with some angry words at the Rats-Goers game at The Rat Hole yesterday. There was some pushing and shoving -- then the dugouts emptied. There was a lot of scuffling, but no punches thrown. When order was finally restored and the dust settled, the umpires ejected Rock River's William Stafford and Temple's Noriaki Kichida. Now both antagonists will get some time off, courtesy of the league commissioner. They were suspended 3 games for inappropriate and aggressive behavior. This season Stafford is batting .236 with 7 home runs. His totals include 33 RBIs and 40 runs scored. On the season Kichida has a 7-3 record with a 4.80 ERA. |
