Pérez Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 Today the Storm Troopers downed the Hellcats 16-7 as Rafael Pérez sprayed hits all over Hellcats Park in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 7 at-bats. The San Antonio right fielder said to reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them." Rafael Pérez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This year Pérez has collected a .378 batting average to date with 37 hits in 98 at-bats, 15 RBIs, no home runs and scored 15 times. He has played in 24 games. |
