Caldwell Torches Lights for 5 Hits Sunday, May 6th, 2018 Bruce Caldwell was on fire today and sparked his club to a 16-2 victory over the Lights. The Lubbock third baseman was a tough out and went 5 for 6 against Phoenix in a fine hitting display. "I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody... and some days they fall in." Bruce Caldwell hit a three-run home run off Takuji Taguchi in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. In the current season, Caldwell has put up a .389 batting average with 42 hits, 9 home runs, 39 RBI and scored 21 runs. |
