Rivera Spins Shutout Against Ducks Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 Everything clicked on the hill today for José Rivera of the San Antonio Storm Troopers as he hurled his club to a 7-0 shutout win over the Long Island Ducks, limiting them to 1 hit while recording 9 strikeouts and yielding 1 walk. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches. "We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Ducks manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him." This season Rivera has compiled a 7-4 record with a 2.85 ERA. |
