Longhorns Star Wins Cy Young Award

The Lubbock clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year David White will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2017 Alexander Cartwright League Cy Young Award.
White made 32 starts this year, winning 20 and losing 5. He threw 194.2 innings, fanned 212, allowed 166 hits and 88 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .230 average as he logged an impressive 3.42 ERA.
