Valle Stretches Hit String to 20 Sunday, October 1st, 2017 The Goers won the game today, but you would have been hard pressed to find anyone talking about it. The focus seemed to be on shortstop Miguel Valle extending his hitting streak to 20 games by going 1-for-4 in the game. "Sure we are happy that we won, but seeing Miguel extend his streak was also special," said a jubilant Temple manager. "He's a special player who is capable of doing some amazing things at the plate." For the record, the Goers defeated the Prussian Marxists 7-6 at Goers Field.
