Star of the Week Named in ACL Monday, August 28th, 2017 23-year-old Barry Patterson made a few Blackpool headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Alexander Cartwright League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 7 hits in 17 at-bats to put up a .412 average. Patterson collected 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 4 runs. Currently Patterson is hitting .285 and has collected 19 home runs, 67 RBIs and scored 68 times, while playing in 88 games. |
