Pratt Given 5-Game Suspension
Monday, August 14th, 2017
It got ugly on the field today in the Rams and Deacons game, when Neal Pratt was ejected for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire. Before he left the dugout area, Pratt threw a few bats and a garbage can on the field toward home plate.
League officials thought the Frisco shortstop went too far and gave him a 5-game suspension.
"Sometimes your emotions get the better of you and you just sort of lose control," Pratt told reporters, "but that doesn't mean I was wrong, just out of control."
So far this year in 62 games Pratt is hitting .162 with no home runs, 9 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
