Big Day with Bat: Allen 5-5 Thursday, July 6th, 2017 It was a great day at the plate for Jerry Allen of the Asheville Tourists. He collected 5 hits in 5 tries, but his club still came up short in the win column. The Riverside Red Bulls racked up the victory, topping the Tourists by the score of 14-8. Jerry Allen hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ricardo Sepúlveda in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 9th. To date this year Allen is batting .255 with 2 home runs. |
