García Batters Blackpool for 5 Hits Sunday, June 25th, 2017 "Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Lake of the Isles's Felipe García told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well." It definitely turned out well for García today as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats against Blackpool. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Wolves knocked off the Gamblers 15-13 at Bloomfield Road. Felipe García hit a two-run home run off Bernardo Lara in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Currently García is batting .235 with 3 home runs, 19 RBIs and 29 runs scored. |
