5-Hit Barrage by Valle Monday, June 19th, 2017 Today at The Hive Alfredo Valle put on an impressive display of hitting -- the Rock River center fielder tagged Madison pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on his batting spree and lost the game to the Beehive by the score of 7-6. "Hey, the loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it. 5-5 ain't bad in any league." Despite the terrific performance, Valle remained somewhat somber. "Sure, I'm happy with my performance today," he was quoted as saying in the locker room, "But all that really matters in this game is that number in the win column. We just didn't get it done today." Alfredo Valle singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 10th. This season Valle is batting .313 with 66 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 30 times and has 27 RBI. |
