Gérard Wins FFL Top Pitcher Award Thursday, June 1st, 2017 In May, when the name of Antoine Gérard appeared on the Rock River lineup card it was a virtual lock on a victory. He started 7 times and chalked up 3 wins and no losses. With those stats it was a also a virtual lock that he would be named the Ford Frick League Pitcher of the Month. Gérard shackled opposing batters on 25 base hits and a .155 batting average. He rang up 59 strikeouts in 48 innings of work, surrendered 26 walks and fashioned a sparkling 0.94 ERA. To date this season Gérard has compiled a 4-0 record with a 2.44 ERA in 12 starts. |
