Ruíz Dominates San Antonio Saturday, April 29th, 2017 In an excellent mound performance, Carlos Ruíz of the Phoenix Lights whitewashed the San Antonio Storm Troopers 7-0 on a 1-hitter. He said after the game, "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches." The San Antonio manager said, "We just didn't swing the bats well today. Ruíz did a good job keeping us guessing." In all, the Phoenix hurler rang up 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in the shutout win. This season Ruíz has registered 3 wins and no losses in 5 starts with a 1.64 ERA. |
