Javier Reyes Captures ACL Award Monday, May 7th, 2012 So far in his young career, Javier Reyes has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Alexander Cartwright League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 18-year-old Blackpool Gamblers first baseman hit at a torrid .458 clip as he collected 11 hits in 24 at-bats, 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and 5 runs scored. So far this year in 27 games Reyes is hitting .330 with 7 home runs, 21 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
