Sakaguchi Takes ACL Top Starter Trophy Thursday, September 1st, 2016 Hideki Sakaguchi hasn't been around the big leagues long enough to know that youngsters shouldn't be winning Alexander Cartwright League Pitcher of the Month. But when you put up numbers like his, you're going to get some notice. In August the Grand Haven starter earned a 5-0 mark in 6 starts. He threw 39.1 innings, struck out 33 and compiled a solid 4.12 ERA. This season Sakaguchi has fanned 145 in 161.2 innings and collected a 17-4 record with a 3.28 ERA. |
