5-Hit Blitz by Brock Wednesday, June 29th, 2016 Carl Brock really did a number on the Bulldogs in the Silicon Valley 12-5 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But Carl Brock did just that today for the Hackers and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win. "I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 23-year-old right fielder said after his record-setting performance. Carl Brock singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Joe Davis in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Patrick Davies in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. In 67 games this season Brock has batted at a .305 pace with 83 hits and 3 home runs. |
