Great Week for Rock River's Tsuruki Kiyomizu Monday, May 9th, 2016 23-year-old Tsuruki Kiyomizu made a few Rock River headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Ford Frick League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .440 average. Kiyomizu collected 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 5 runs. Kiyomizu is batting .236 with 4 home runs and 19 RBIs this season. |
