Fontenla Wins FFL's Best Bat Trophy Tuesday, September 1st, 2015 Not known for his offensive prowess, Santiago Fontenla set the league afire in August and took home the Ford Frick League Batter of the Month award. The Phoenix second baseman posted a steady .361 batting average, 8 home runs, 35 RBIs and 23 runs. This year Fontenla is hitting .309, produced 87 RBIs and 17 home runs, scored 68 times and gotten on base at a .417 rate. |
