Player of the Week: Blackpool's Moore Monday, August 24th, 2015 22-year-old Lou Moore made a few Blackpool headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Alexander Cartwright League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 8 hits in 13 at-bats to put up a .615 average. Moore collected 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs. So far this season Moore is batting .264 with 8 home runs, 27 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has 46 hits in 174 at-bats, 26 walks and a .356 OBP. Moore has played in 80 games. |
