Ashton Latham Selected July's Best Batter Saturday, August 1st, 2015 Ashton Latham put together a good July to earn the Alexander Cartwright League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Grand Haven officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Whitecaps right fielder posted a .327 batting average with 7 home runs, 25 RBIs and 26 runs scored. This year Latham is batting .288 with 21 home runs and 76 RBIs. In 102 games he has scored 81 times. |
