September's #1 Batter Announced Wednesday, October 1st, 2014 Nick Davis is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the New York center fielder joined that select company when the Ford Frick League announced the results of September's voting. Davis totaled 28 hits, 27 walks, 6 home runs, 24 RBIs and 24 runs scored last month to put together a .364 batting average and .524 on-base percentage. This season Davis has delivered 116 hits in 473 at-bats for a .245 average with 20 home runs. He is getting on base at a .367 clip and his totals also include 83 RBIs and 95 runs scored. This year Davis has played in 141 games. |
