Injury Forces Adam Benjamin Out Sunday, July 27th, 2014 The Carson City Mustang learned that Adam Benjamin is likely to be out for 4 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Phoenix Lights. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a partially torn labrum. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Carson City manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Adam is back in action." In 47 relief appearances in 2014, Benjamin has nailed down the victory 1 times for his club. In 53 innings he has fanned 64 batters and walked 21. His won-lost record is 4-3 with a 2.04 ERA. |
