Big Day for Au: Swats 5 Hits Wednesday, May 14th, 2014 "Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Ottawa's Li-chi Au told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well." It definitely turned out well for Au today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Madison. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Outlaws knocked off the Beehive 9-8 at Parliament Field. Li-chi Au hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Miguel Gonzáles in the 3rd, hit a two-run triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. In 13 games Au is hitting .373 this season with 22 hits, 4 home runs, 16 RBIs, 5 walks, .415 OBP and has scored 15 runs. |
