Carson City's Lyon Snaps up April Batting Award Thursday, May 1st, 2014 Mitch Lyon is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Carson City first baseman joined that select company when the Ford Frick League announced the results of April's voting. Lyon totaled 21 hits, 22 walks, 9 home runs, 28 RBIs and 23 runs scored last month to put together a .309 batting average and .478 on-base percentage. |
