Hits Galore: Heida Drills 5 Hits Saturday, April 12th, 2014 History in the making. That's what the fans at The Rat Hole got to see today, when Carson City outplayed the Rats 15-7. Ryoma Heida of the Mustang came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Rock River. In the postgame press conference the Rock River skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink." Ryoma Heida doubled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th. Looking at his present stats, Heida has compiled a .273 batting average in 5 games with a .360 on-base percentage, while hitting no home runs and driving in 4 runs. |
