Silicon Valley's Stone to Miss 9-10 Months Monday, August 19th, 2013 The Hackers received bad news this morning. Millard Stone will miss 9-10 months due to a stretched elbow ligament. In the Silicon Valley-Lake of the Isles game he sustained the injury while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Stone sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." This season Stone has gone 5-14 with an ERA of 4.36, posting 111 strikeouts in 154.2 innings. |
