KSL's Top Player, Pérez of Birmingham Monday, September 3rd, 2012 José Pérez burst onto the Kade Stenson League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie left fielder for Birmingham garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 22-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .526 (10-19) with 1 home run and 9 RBIs last week. This year Pérez is batting .292 with 134 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 58 times and has batted in 55 runs. |
