Leyva Socks it to Coal Miners, Cracks 5 Hits Friday, September 28th, 2018 Big day at bat for Andrés Leyva of the Freeze: 5 hits, but no victory cigar -- his team lost the game. Nevertheless, the Minneapolis second baseman did all he could do with 5 base hits in 6 tries, but not enough to overcome the Antioch Coal Miners. They triumphed over Minneapolis 13-8 at The Coal Mine. Andrés Leyva singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th. In 2018 Leyva has hit at a .323 clip with 51 hits, 3 home runs, 19 RBIs and has scored 18 times. |
