Williams Wins KSL Honor
Monday, September 10th, 2018
Leonard Williams must have thought he was in seventh heaven this week. First he went on a sensational hitting spree, belting the ball at a .429 pace, then the Durham right fielder finds outs he has been selected the top performer and gets the Kade Stenson League Player of the Week Award.
Asked what his hitting philosophy was, Williams quipped to the BNN reporters, "Well, my theory of hitting is to just watch the ball as it comes in and hit it."
It was a good week's work for Williams. He hit .429 average (12-28) with 5 home runs and 10 RBIs.
This season Williams is batting .330 with 68 hits, 17 home runs, 58 RBIs, 31 walks, .418 OBP and has scored 46 runs. He has played in 60 games.
