Lewis Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Coronado Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for David Lewis as he saw his 21-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 4 at-bats at the hands of the Phantoms. It wasn't all bad for the 24-year-old center fielder and the Bronx Bombers, as they defeated Coronado 6-4 at Bronx Ballpark. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Lewis laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." Currently Lewis is batting .308 with 27 home runs and 104 RBIs. |
