Manuel Batters Minneapolis Big Time
Tuesday, August 14th, 2018
5 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book. The latest honoree is Garrison Manuel of the Indian Wells Aeropostales.

Today he beat up their pitching to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but it was the Minneapolis Freeze that salvaged a 9-2 victory at The Ice Box.

"Manuel was a tough out today," the Minneapolis manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure. I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win."

Speaking to the BNN writers, Manuel added, "It was a real good day for me individually, but not a good one for the team. No loss is a good one."

Garrison Manuel singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

To date Manuel has chalked up a .320 average with 1 home run, driven in 10 runs and scored 14 times.
