Slater Cops #1 Pitcher Award in July Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 John Slater took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the Blake Camden League Pitcher of the Month award for July. The 23-year-old Death Stars starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 3-0 won-lost record in 5 starts. This month he fanned 24 batters in 29 innings and compiled a 0.00 ERA. To date Slater is 8-4 in 21 starts with a 3.31 ERA and has 87 strikeouts in 106 innings. |
