BCL Player of the Week Named Monday, July 2nd, 2018 Alex Wright burst onto the Blake Camden League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie center fielder for Astoria garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 27-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .476 (10-21) with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs last week. This season Wright has banged out 58 hits in 142 at-bats for a .408 average with 6 home runs. He is getting on base at a .497 pace and his totals also include 47 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |
