BCL Trophy Goes to Espinosa of Detroit Monday, June 25th, 2018 José Espinosa burst onto the Blake Camden League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie third baseman for Detroit garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 24-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .500 (12-24) with 5 home runs and 14 RBIs last week. Espinosa is hitting .276 this year with 27 home runs and 63 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .351, 23 walks and scored 52 times. |
