Dwyer Sensational, 5-6 Sunday, May 20th, 2018 The Raptors whipped the Diablos 14-3 at Hell Stadium and Jim Dwyer had a big hand in the win. The Raptors second baseman came to the plate 6 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Dwyer and a tough day for El Paso. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Dwyer delivered today -- 5-6 is outstanding in any league. Jim Dwyer singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Currently Dwyer is hitting .212 and has collected 1 home run, 4 RBIs and scored 18 times, while playing in 25 games. |
