April's Starter of the Month Goes to Phipps Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 April's best hurler was Gabriel Phipps of Durham. He overwhelmed KSL hitters all month long and captured the Pitcher of the Month award as he collected a 5-0 record in 5 starts. The 28-year-old Phipps added 23 strikeouts in 36 innings and 15 walks to his season record and compiled a 2.75 ERA. Other clubs hit .221 against him. |
