Hunt Slaps 5 Hits Tuesday, April 24th, 2018 Somedays you can't win for losing. Just ask Jake Hunt. He was the King of Swing in the game against the Horseman, but his Aeropostales were beaten 5-4 anyway. The Indian Wells first baseman stepped into the batter's box 6 times against the Amarillo and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him. He excitedly told the press, "Unbelieveable feeling. It felt great on the one hand, but a downer at the same time. 5-for-6! It does wonders for your batting average. But it's a shame we couldn't win it, too." Jake Hunt singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and singled in the 11th. So far on the season Hunt is hitting .418 with 6 home runs, 29 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has 41 hits and played in 21 games. |
