Kato and Philibert Brawl, League Suspends Them
Saturday, April 21st, 2018
At a recent Communists-Cacti contest at Bulldog Stadium, Maresuke Kato of Leningrad took exception to what Ilies Philibert of Albuquerque said to him and tackled him. This led to an old-fashioned bench-clearing free-for-all between the two clubs. After the umpires restored order, they ejected both players.
Today the league commissioner's office took action and suspended each player for 4 games, citing them for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct."
Kato is currently batting .271 with 1 home run and 13 RBIs.
