Fort Worth's Cummins KSL Star of the Week Monday, September 11th, 2017 23-year-old Shawn Cummins made a few Fort Worth headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Kade Stenson League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .565 average. Cummins collected 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 6 runs. Cummins is currently hitting at a .263 pace with 17 home runs, 82 RBIs and has scored 70 times. |
